Sofia is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She represented Argentina twice at the South American Junior Championships and was consistently ranked among the top 3-5 players in the country.
Sofia played collegiate tennis at Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSU), where the team won the conference championship in 2025.
Sofia worked at Armonk Tennis Club for three consecutive summers and graduated from NSU with a degree in Computer Information Systems.
