Updates and Announcements

August 18, 2020

Dear Westchester Tennis Center Families,

Yes, it is true! Westchester Tennis Center is now OPEN! We appreciate your supportive correspondences and patience as we transitioned 303 Boston Post Road into a tennis facility where the primary goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for all who are ready to begin playing again. Life is not the same since COVID-19 affected us. The Westchester Tennis Center “family” you remember is here for all of you and we cannot wait to see you back on the court!

Here is what changed:
We have installed:
  • 10 touchless hand sanitizing stations (on and off the court)
  • Plexi-glass partitions at our reception desk
  • Social distancing and traffic flow floor decals
  • Brand new air filtration system installed directly into our HVAC unit
  • Additional external air purification system
  • Stanchion posts to separate players who are entering the facility from players who are leaving the facility
We have implemented:
  • Enhanced cleaning and maintenance protocols including anti-viral cleaning products (on and off court)
  • Pro/employee arrival and on court protocols (including daily temperature checks)
  • Social distancing guidelines (including masks required in lobby, no lingering on site, pre- assigned courts)
  • Drop off/pick up procedures for our young tennis players
  • High capacity exhaust fans running during off hours to maximize air circulation
We have removed:
  • All furniture from lobby and lounge
  • Access to showers, towels, water fountains, and locker rooms (restrooms are accessible) Here is what has not changed:
  • The dedication, enthusiasm, and talent of our coaching staff!
  • The knowledgeable staff at our on-site pro shop – “The Tennis Professionals”
  • Our desire to bring you and your family the best and most memorable tennis experiences

Our summer hours are 8:30am-6:00pm. Junior weekly Summer Sessions continue, semi and private lessons as well as open court time is available - call us (914 934 1900) or email (frontdesk@westchestertc.com) for more information.

We have planned a full range of programming to begin in September. Stay tuned for more details via email, and please check out our website www.westchestertc.com or give us a call.

All our best, and we look forward to seeing you on the courts!

Dear Westchester Tennis Center Families,

We hope that you and your families are doing well - we miss you a lot!

We are continuing our work behind the scenes - as soon as government regulations allow, we will be ready to launch our Spring and Summer Programs - we cannot wait to see you all back on the court!

If you have questions about our upcoming High Performance or Junior Development Summer Camp, please reach out by email to let us know. Lauren will be happy to assist with your planning - she can be reached at llevine@westchestertc.com. Since many of you may not be sending your children to sleep away camp as previously planned, we have decided to extend our early sign-up discounts through May 15th! We are glad to be able to provide a safe, clean environment with lots of training, activity, and learning both on and off the court.

The safety of our staff and players is highly important to us - in conjunction with federal, state, local, and USTA guidelines, we will be implementing new safety protocols for cleaning/sanitizing and social distancing once we resume business. We are thankful that social distancing is possible while playing tennis - the mental and physical benefits of getting back on the court will be great!

We are keeping close records of the time you have missed during the closure and we will be rolling out our make-up plans as soon as we have our re-opening date set.

Stay safe and healthy - we hope to see you before too long!

All our best,
Robbie, David, Lauren, and Patrick

Dear Westchester Tennis Center Families,

We hope that you are all faring well, staying healthy and keeping busy. We surely miss the hustle bustle that we had become so accustomed to at the club, your warm smiles and the conversations that we had while getting to know you all during our inaugural year!

As the holiday season is upon us, we would like to wish you all a Happy Passover and Happy Easter.

We are working hard behind the scenes in order to ensure that we resume the level of instruction, service, and camaraderie that you have come to know at Westchester Tennis Center. We will update you as soon as we have more information regarding our re-opening date.

All our best,
Robbie, David, Lauren, and Patrick

Dear Friend of Westchester Tennis Center,

After carefully considering a multitude of factors and the rapidly changing situation here in Westchester around the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close, effective 9:00 PM Sunday, March 15th. We anticipate this closure will last through Sunday, March 29th, with a hopeful re-open date of Monday, March 30th. We did not make this decision lightly and recognize the inconvenience it will cause our valued clients.

The safety, good health, and well being of our clients and staff are of utmost importance. A future communication outlining program make-ups and/or extensions will be forthcoming once we gain a better understanding of the full duration of this pandemic. Westchester Tennis Center will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of city, state and federal health officials. Please be well, take all precautions for yourself and your families and know we are here for you no matter what the situation. We will remain vigilant together.

Yours in Health,
Westchester Tennis Center Management
