Adult Private Groups at WTC is a category of tennis instruction that is special for you and your group of tennis players. You will have full control of who plays on your court and will have some ability to reschedule and make up missed classes by the group as a whole. You will additionally have your choice of the length of the class and which available instructors to have on your court.
USTA Team Practices at WTC are 90 minute practices for team members and anyone looking to play in a more competitive environment. Practice is required to join the roster of one of the teams at WTC. You must carry the rating needed to play in a particular practice. For example, to play in a 3.5 team practice you must be a computer rated 3.5 player. You cannot join the 3.5 practice if you are 2.5 or 3.0 rated.
Adult Clinics at WTC (formerly NTRP Classes) is a group class option if you are planning to join on your own. We will arrange everything from other players in your group, instructor, and day/time of class. You can choose between two options of class length, 60 or 90 minutes. Each class will be tailored to the needs of that particular group.
Point Play is a class that is as it sounds to be! There is a quick warm-upfast-paceddrop-in and then you play points competitively. There is no drilling or technical training. There will of course be instruction along the way if our coaches see something. The main focus is playing various fast-paced games. This class is available on a drop-in basis.
We will be rolling out a class that is a high-intensity workout based on tennis training. This is a workout class, not a tennis instruction class. This class is available as a drop-in option.
Guided Match Play will have a coach who roams the court providing feedback regarding positioning, strategy, mindset, etc. You will have the option to be set up with players at the same level or you can elect to set up a group of players your self. If you are interested please email Dean Won, dwon@westchestertc.com
Shot of the week is a class designed to brush up on the fundamentals on the basic shots in tennis with an expert coach. Mainly focused on forehands, backhands, and volleys.
